Why I make this
Twenty years of photos, and the one from that summer is somewhere in a folder called DCIM_copy_3. Sound familiar?
Eventra brings order to your own computer. It looks at when and where something was taken, suggests what belongs together, and lets you look it over first. Only once you agree does anything move - into ordinary folders with ordinary names.
That last part is the whole idea. No database you can never open again, no service that can stop existing. Throw Eventra away tomorrow and your photos are still sitting there exactly as they were.
What it does
- groups by time and place
- every suggestion approved first
- finds duplicates
- strips GPS if you want it gone
- keeps everything in ordinary folders
What it does not do
- no cloud, no account
- never deletes anything by itself
- does not change your files unasked
- no face recognition
